Consulting & Advocacy Packages
At Parent Voice, I recognize that every child’s path is unique. While the packages below provide a structured starting point, I am happy to discuss a tailored approach to ensure my support aligns perfectly with your family’s specific needs.
Hourly Consultation
Rate: $150/hour
For targeted advice, troubleshooting specific school hurdles, or ongoing guidance as you navigate your child’s educational journey.
Package 1: The Records Review
Best for: Parents seeking an expert "second opinion" on their child’s current educational data.
Investment: $275
Includes:
A comprehensive review of all provided educational and medical documents.
A 60-minute strategy consultation to discuss findings.
A custom summary document outlining your child’s identified strengths and needs, IEP priority areas, and recommended next steps.
Package 2: Preparation & Advocacy
Best for: Families gearing up for an upcoming IEP meeting who want to walk into the room with total confidence.
Investment: $600 (4 hours total)
Includes:
Everything in the Records Review package.
Two hours of focused pre-meeting preparation: We will deep-dive into your child’s records, draft specific questions for the IEP team, and role-play talking points to ensure your concerns are clearly heard.
A 30-minute post-meeting debrief to review the district's documentation and determine your next steps.
Package 3: Holistic Parent Coaching & Support
Best for: Families who want to create a seamless bridge between school goals and home-based learning.
Investment: $1,000 (8 hours total)
Includes:
Everything in Package 1 and 2.
A 30-minute strategy session focused exclusively on home-based needs and how to align them with school-based IEP goals.
Four (4) 45-minute in-home or virtual coaching sessions designed to provide you with actionable strategies to support your child's goals in their natural environment.
I will support translating IEP goals into daily routines and life skills at home (ex. Play skills being worked on at school? We can work on them at home too!)
Add-On Service: Direct IEP Meeting Attendance
Investment: $150 per hour (billed in 15-minute increments)
Need an expert at the table? If you would like me to attend your child’s eligibility or IEP meeting with you to provide real-time guidance and strategic support, this service can easily be added to Package 2 or Package 3.
Virtual Attendance: Billed strictly for the duration of the meeting.
In-Person Attendance: Billed for the duration of the meeting, plus a flat travel fee if the school is located outside of my immediate service radius.
Notice Requirement: Due to calendar constraints, families must request meeting attendance at least five (5) business days before the scheduled meeting date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you an attorney / Do you provide legal representation?
No. I am a Master-level educational consultant and special education advocate, not an attorney. My services do not constitute legal advice. I specialize in educational strategy, compliance, and building a collaborative bridge between home and school. If your situation requires formal legal action (such as a Due Process hearing), I can help you identify that milestone and refer you to specialized legal counsel.
When is the best time to start working with a consultant?
The earlier, the better! In early childhood special education, being proactive during the Child Find phase or the transition into preschool/kindergarten prevents your child from losing valuable developmental time.
Do you attend the actual IEP meetings with parents?
Yes! Under Package 2 and Package 3, my prep time is designed to get us ready for the big day. If you would like me to sit in on the school meeting with you as your advocate, this can be done as an ‘add-on service’ listed above and billed in 15 minute increments.
When is payment due?
Payment for packages is due in full prior to the start of services. For IEP meeting attendance, we will discuss a payment of two installments. This is to give us the ability to adjust for additional meeting time that often happens.
